To capture a pet, you'll need to employ a Cute Pet Taming Item. These items can be acquired through defeating monsters or completing special quests. To activate one, simply double-click it in your Item Window. Once you've spotted the desired monster, click on it. A slot machine will then appear, offering you a chance to tame the creature. If unsuccessful, the taming item will be lost with no pet to show for it. However, upon success, the taming item will be consumed, granting you a Cute Pet Egg. Success rates remain consistent regardless of stats or Provoke, but increase as the target monster's health diminishes. Notably, when the monster's health reaches 1%, the base success rate can see a significant boost of up to 67%
For instance, let's consider a Rocker with a base tame success rate of 15%. As the Rocker's health dwindles to 1%, the success rate can surge to 25% (15 * 1.67). Enabling /skillsnap can facilitate targeting the monster. Inducing Bleeding on the monster can effectively reduce its health to 1 without causing its demise (e.g., utilizing a Skogul Card).
Hocus Pocus
Alternative Pet Taming Method Cute Pets can also be acquired using the Sage skill Hocus Pocus. This skill offers the chance to tame pets that are otherwise unattainable in the game. However, there's a catch: the food item required to raise these pets may also be unavailable, leaving them trapped within their eggs.
Once you've acquired a Cute Pet egg, it's time to hatch it using a Pet Incubator. Simply click on the Incubator and select the egg you wish to hatch.
Your first task after hatching the egg is to feed your pet. Right-click on the pet and select "Feed Pet." For optimal cost efficiency while aiming for Loyal status, only feed your pet when it's Hungry. To expedite the taming process, feed it when its hunger is Neutral, but avoid feeding it any earlier. After feeding, your pet will emote to indicate it has eaten, typically using the /ok emote. If overfed, it may respond with the /hmm or /pif emote. Further feeding after this point will prompt the /omg emote, signaling that your pet is full and may depart.
You can also customize your pet's name through the Cute Pet Window (Alt+J). However, note that renaming can only be done once.
To revert your pet to its egg form, simply right-click on the pet and select the corresponding option. You'll need another Incubator to hatch it again. It's not necessary to remove any accessories from the pet before returning it to its egg.

Pet Intimacy and Hunger
When a pet is initially hatched, it's assigned a random number of intimacy points ranging from 100 to 399. However, the starting intimacy decreases as the pet's level increases. Feeding your pet boosts its intimacy based on its level and hunger status. Higher-level pets gain fewer intimacy points per feeding, while lower-level pets gain more.
A pet's hunger level is categorized as follows:

Pet Hunger and Intimacy Guidelines
Each pet has a unique hunger rate, as indicated in the chart below.
Feeding your pet increases its hunger level by 20 units.
Overfeeding your pet will decrease its intimacy by 100 points per feeding.
Auto-feeding will persistently boost intimacy, but it won't function if the RODEX window is open during the attempt.
Auto-feeding ceases once the pet is reverted to its egg form.
When an unevolved pet's owner dies, its intimacy drops by 20 points; for evolved pets, it's just 1 point.
If a pet reaches starvation, its intimacy diminishes by 20 points every 20 seconds. The Little Poring, however, loses only 1 point every 20 seconds.
Returning a pet to its egg form doesn't cause intimacy to decrease.
